On the promised eve of Family Reunification, come be together with your families young and old, chosen and created to show what should be – families free and together, children playing, singing and making art.
Join this family-centered action with individuals and organizations including Mujeres Unidas y Activas (MUA), Cuasa Justa Just Cause (CJJC), La Colectiva, Bay Resistance, Hand in Hand, Our Family Coalition, SURJ SF Youth and Families, Families Belong Together East Bay and others to continue the national call for #FamiliesBelongTogether and #AbolishICE and to support local immigrant-rights struggles that have been fighting family separation, incarceration and deportation right here in the Bay Area.
What to bring: Blankets, snacks, water, diapers, a book or musical instrument and anything else you would you normally pack for a playdate!
What we will provide: Art and music activities to engage you and your little one
What to expect: This will be a family-friendly space designed to put pressure on ICE and Bay Area agencies collaborating with ICE, to end family separations and the unjust incarceration of immigrants. There will be room for families to participate at their level of comfort.
