On Monday July 31st Coleman members joined members of Chinese Progressive Association and MOJO in front of the California State Building to elevate the need to fund guaranteed healthcare for all and to uplift the stories of youth and community members that will be most directly impacted by funding cuts.
50 years ago, Dr. King said that “of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhuman.” Without the fundamental human right to keep our minds and bodies healthy, how can we heal, take care of each other, and fight with and for communities that are under attack?
Youth MOJO members work to educate, organize, and build leadership among Chinese working-class youth and with other marginalized communities. They believe that healthcare is a human right for all- regardless of status, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc., and that everyone should have healthcare, regardless of income, gender, age or immigration status.
